Whether you like Duck Dynasty or not, you'll probably like this album quite a lot. I don't watch the show, but I still think this is a must-have album for this Christmas. The interpretation of traditional songs is simply stellar, and to be honest I was pretty surprised by the quality of the singing of this album. When I saw that the folks of Duck Dynasty made an album, I wasn't expecting much to be honest. But the really lovely voice of Missy, as well as the funny songs like Duck The Halls are really pleasant. They invited also many artists like Alison Krauss, Luke Bryan, George Strait and Josh Turner.
Like mentioned previously, most traditional songs are really nice remakes, and don't feel out of place at all. Their own creations are pretty good too, like Ragin' Cajun Redneck Christmas. Overall, this is a high quality album, they didn't just sit on the reputation of Duck Dynasty to sell albums, which they totally could have done. They genuinely put effort to make this a great purchases for the fans, as well as for the people who don't watch the show. I'm pretty sure people who are not even country fans could find things they like in this album as well.
8.5/10
This review is a bit different from the others, since this is a Christmas album. Therefore, a lot of the songs are traditional songs reinterpreted from the Robertsons. The score for those songs are simply a reflection of how I think they took it over versus the original. If I felt something particularly special about them, I've put comments as well (you'll see that I put a lot of comments anyways, because that's my thing, but that's a lot less than for my traditional reviews).

Disclosure: Just before we start, I just want to comment on the fact that I don't watch Duck Dynasty. I've watched an episode or two, I think it's pretty good, but it's not my type of show. So I don't know the personalities of each member of the Robertson family or the ins and outs. If I missed something, a cue, or anything, go ahead and mention it in the comments !
Ragin' Cajun Redneck Christmas
This is one of their own songs, and I think it's pretty entertaining. It goes with the whole show they are doing, so I guess a lot of the buyers of this album will be pleased with this song. As a whole, it's original, well sung. It's pretty good.
8/10
I'll Be Home for Christmas
Missy Robertson really has a pretty voice. Perhaps the best performance of a traditional song of the album.
8.5/10
You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
6/10
Christmas Cookies (feat. George Strait)
Great duo, the song is especially good. It's pretty similar to the original version of George Strait, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
8/10
Away in a Manger (feat. Alison Krauss)
The Luke 2: 8-14 by Mia at the beginning may please to some people, I didn't like it at all (it lasts for about 45 seconds). The rest of the song is correct.
5/10
Hairy Christmas (feat. Luke Bryan)
I really thought they could have used Luke Bryan on a better song than this one. The lyrics are not very good, I much preferred Ragin' Cajun Redneck Christmas personally.
6.5/10
Baby, It's Cold Outside
Again we have Missy singing, and she sings great again. This is a great remake..
8.5/10
Duck The Halls
The ducks quacking are pretty funny, the rest of the song is also enjoyable.
8/10
Camouflage and Christmas Lights
Reed Robertson also has a pretty good voice. This is a very lovely song.
7.5/10
Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Much more pleasant song by Sadie Robertson. Pretty good remake.
7/10
The Night Before Christmas
This isn't a song, it's a story told by Uncle Si Robertson. It's a good thought, but if you just put the CD in your radio for example and let it run in the day, it might be surprising not to have music, but a story-telling.
6.5/10
Why I Love Christmas (feat. Josh Turner)
I've always been a fan of Josh Turner and his amazing voice, so of course I loved this song. The duo with Missy is a very good idea, but I felt like she was pushing too much her voice, it sounds different from in I'll Be Home for Christmas. Overall, one of the most enjoyable song of the album for sure.
8.5/10
Silent Night
This is a very good interpretation of Silent Night. Missy's voice is again very impressive in this song, and the kids' part in the middle is very cute.
8.5/10
Phil's Prayer, Willie's Closing
This is a pretty good conclusion to the album. It's not a song though.

Santa Looked a Lot Like Daddy
